How to play GamerWordle

  1. Read the gaming category and clue.
  2. Enter a 4 to 8 letter video game term.
  3. Use cyan, orange, and gray feedback to refine the next guess.
  4. Solve the daily term in seven attempts and share your spoiler-free result.

Daily puzzle and unlimited practice

Everyone receives the same daily puzzle at midnight UTC. Practice mode offers unlimited puzzles across combat, movement, worlds, systems, crafting, technology, strategy, and gaming culture.

Before you play

The interactive puzzle needs JavaScript. Enable it to use the board and keyboard. The strategy guide explains accepted opening words, gaming vocabulary, and a worked example without requiring JavaScript.

Guesses must match the board's exact length and appear in the curated 400-term list. After two accepted guesses, a hint reveals the first letter and the number of A, E, I, O, and U vowels. Rejected guesses do not spend an attempt.
